WARNING: Long post but so worth it! I had a really fun group of girls last night at my "Pop 'n Place Gift Tags Stamp Camp". This is the kit that we used for our projects:
This bundle includes the Pop & Place Holiday Gift Tags Book which includes 70+ tags in five paper designs, 2 pages of each design....plus the coordinating Christmas Tagables Photopolymer Stamp Set. These gift tags are perfect for making cute tags for any gift this holiday season. And that's what we did plus more....
Here are all of the tag pieces layered and assembled into tags:
Now, for those of you that know me well, you know that I don't waste anything and try to re-purpose as much as I can. If you look back at the very first photo in this blog post, you will notice that there is a coordinating booklet that all the tags come in. I removed the stapled pages from the book once all of my tags were popped out. That leaves me with this very nice looking holder that has two fancy, curvy pockets on the inside. With those pockets you could add a set of cards & envelopes, gift cards....anything! I kept the inside as is and decorated the outside:
If you'll glance at the very first photo on this blog post again, you will notice that there was some writing on the red portion of the front of the flap. I custom made a tag to cover the writing, glued a strip of ribbon (retired) 26" long and tied it into a double-knot to hold the booklet closed. I made a cardstock piece to cover the writing on the inside also. I then glued one of the tags assembled above to the front using Stampin' Dimensionals:
Now how stinkin' cute is that! All of the girls got to pick a ribbon color and make one of these. It was a big hit. Now on to more ideas with your kit.....
How about a few cards with the tags?
All we needed for the first card was an Old Olive Cardstock base cut at 8 1/2" x 5 1/2", scored and folded in half. The designer strip of paper on the bottom was cut from the inserts that we removed on the inside of our booklet. Again, although all of the tag shapes were popped out, you are still left with pieces of designer paper that you can use on some projects!
Card #2:
We added a little bit more to this card. The card front this time is Cherry Cobbler Cardstock cut the same size as Card #1. We embossed the bottom of the card front using the Delicate Designs Embossing Folder. Again, the designer paper strip was cut from the inside guts of the booklet. We glued an assembled tag in place using Stampin' Dimensionals and added a bow. We added a smaller tag to the right of the first tag and then added some bling on the card base using Rhinestone Jewels:
And the last card:
I told the girls if they wanted to create more cards with their tags, that was an option when they got home. So so many possibilities!
I also gave the girls a gift as a thank you for attending. I will be offering kits available for purchase next week as I will not have time to create a new tutorial for December. I've been swamped. This is what I gave the 11 girls that attended:
