What a great way to start out a new month, by showing you a new technique! I'm calling this technique the "Dripping Ink Technique". You will see what I mean in a minute when I show you how to complete the back ground on my card below:

Here are the supplies you will need:

Watercolor Paper
Ink Refills
Spritzer Bottle with water
Scrap Paper or Paper Towel
Heat Tool

Fold your scrap paper or paper towel in half to protect your counter and your wall. Place your watercolor paper so that it is propped against the wall:

Spritz your paper with water and using your first ink refill, add one drop at the very top of your paper as shown above. Continue add ink refills at the very top, alternating your ink refill colors. Don't worry about your watercolor paper curling as this is normal:

Keep spraying with water until you like the way your paper looks:

The ink will keep spreading and create a really neat effect on your card. I made mine look like a rainbow using the appropriate colors:

Dry your watercolor paper with a Heat Tool as this will "uncurl" your paper. Decorate your card as you like!

I cut my watercolor paper using the "Top Note Die" and cut the stitched edging off with my "Paper Snips". I then cut another "Top Note Die" shape using "Marina Mist Cardstock" and layered both pieces together:

Inks: Marina Mist, Wild Wasabi
Ink Refills for Technique: Blushing Bride, Daffodil Delight, Wild Wasabi, Marina Mist, Wisteria Wonder
Stamps: Morning Meadow, Label Something
Tools: Bird Punch, Pansy Punch, Ticket Punch, Big Shot Machine, Top Note Die, Mini Glue Dots, Stampin' Dimensionals, Heat Tool
DSP: Subtles Paper Stack
Accessories: Candy Dots, Bakers Twine
Misc: Paper Towel or Scrap Paper, Spritzer Bottle with water
