Have you ever been to a workshop? Have you ever been the hostess of a workshop? If not, why not? You get to earn FREE Stampin' Up! products and you get to stamp a card to keep! Keep reading and you'll find out what we do at workshops and why you should contact me to schedule one!

I demo'd at an afternoon workshop last week at Deb's place and this is the first card I showed the girls how to create:

I started out with a Christmas card using some of the new products from the Holiday Catalog. Can you spot them all?  First off I used Very Vanilla Cardstock for my card base and quickly added 3 strips of "Season of Style Designer Washi Tape". So easy...peel, stick and trim!

The tag was cut using the "Chalk Talk Framelits Dies" and I heat embossed the sentiment using "Wild Wasbi Embossing Powder". The ornament image from the "Christmas Collectibles Stamp Set" was also heat embossed using "Cherry Cobbler Embossing Powder" but I added more to the ornament. I made sure it was still hot from the embossing and then sprinkled "Iridescent Ice Embossing Powder" and heat set a 2nd time. Notice the glittery look of my ornament? I glued both pieces in place using Stampin' Dimensionals and finished off the card by adding "Rhinestone Jewels". How easy to create an ornament when you have coordinating products!

Card Supplies:
  • Cardstock: Very Vanilla
  • Inks: VersaMark
  • Tools: Wild Wasabi Embossing Powder, Cherry Cobbler Embossing Powder, Iridescent Ice Embossing Powder, Heat Tool, Stampin' Dimensionals, Big Shot Machine, Chalk Talk Framelits Dies, Christmas Ornament Punch
  • Accessions: Season of Style Washi Tape, Rhinestone Jewels
  • Stamps: Snowflake Soiree

Card #2:

Kits are all the rage in the Stampin' Up! Holiday Catalog. But why use the kit for only it's intended purpose? I showed the girls how the use some of the pieces to create a card with. I dug out 6 pieces from the kit. Two being pre-cut designer paper that I altered to the size I needed. I started by dirtying up my card base of "Sahara Sand Cardstock" with the "Gorgeous Grunge Stamp Set" inked in "Sahara Sand Ink".

The leaves included in the kit are all pre-cut from the same designer paper, so I turned one onto the backside, scrunched it up in my hand, unfolded, and sponged some "Pumpkin Pie Ink" on the edges and on the folds. I added a thin sliver of "Basic Black Cardstock" to thread my "Very Vintage Designer Button" with and glued all my layers in place.

The stamped image and sentiment are both from the "Truly Grateful Stamp Set". The ink I used is the "StazOn Jet Black" ink and I colored my image using "Daffodil Delight & Pumpkin Pie Stampin' Write Markers". I then outlined the image using the "Sahara Sand Stampin' Write Marker".

Card Supplies:
  • Cardstock: Basic Black, Sahara Sand
  • Inks: StazOn Jet Black, Sahara Sand, Stampin' Write Markers in Daffodil Delight, Pumpkin Pie, Sahara Sand
  • Tools: Mini Glue Dots, Sponge
  • Stamps: Truly Grateful, Gorgeous Grunge
  • Kits: Thankful Tablescape Simply Created Kit
  • Accessories: Very Vintage Designer Buttons

Card #3:

This is the card all the attendees were able to make themselves and take home with them. We used the new "Circle Card Thinlits Die" to achieve this pre-scored and cut card shape. So quick and easy.

Designer Paper from the "Witches Brew Designer Paper" was added to the inside flap and a small strip on the outside flap. Two small 1/4" strips of "Wild Wasabi Cardstock" were layered to the DSP:

And we used the scallop die that is included with the die set to cut 2 scallops and glue one on each side of the partially cut circle. The sentiments are from the "Halloween Bash Stamp Set" and the "Tags 4 You Stamp Set" which also had the coordinating "Label Bracket Punch":

This is the back of the card in the flat position. The flip card is becoming quite popular as these thinlits make it so easy to cut!
Card Supplies:
  • Cardstock: Basic Black, Whisper White, Wild Wasabi
  • Inks: StazOn Jet Black
  • DSP: Witches Brew
  • Stamps: Tags 4 You, Halloween Bash
  • Tools: Big Shot Machine, Circle Card Thinlits Die, Label Bracket Punch, Labels Collection Framelits, Stampin' Dimensionals
