Take a peak at this cute little "Box in a Bag". What a cute way to package a small gift, or a presentation for goodies. I found this idea from Diana Gibbs and thought I would try my hand at creating. This was so much fun.

Start with a 4.5" x 4.5" piece of cardstock for the bottom "box" for your bag. I used "Whisper White" for mine. You will also need a piece of "Designer Series Paper" sized at 5.5" x 11.5":

Score your square at 1" on all 4 sides. Once completed, add diagonal scores in each corner inside the little squares that were created. Use your bone folder to crease your fold lines. This is what your square piece of cardstock should look like:

Add "Sticky Strip" to each small squared area:

Remove "Sticky Strip" backing and fold the corners in and adhere the sides together to form your corner. Apply "TomBow Glue" inside the corners and glue them flat:

Apply "Sticky Strip around the box sides, keeping the "Sticky Strip" lined up on the bottom portion:

Prepare your DSP for the bag portion. I wanted to add a fancy edge to mine so I used the "Eyelet Border Punch" to one long side of my DSP:

Remove the backing from the "Sticky Strip" from your box. Using the un-punched side of your DSP, carefully start in the center of one side of your box and carefully start gluing the DSP to each side of your box:

When you get to the final edge, it will overlap at your beginning point. Apply "Sticky Strip" to the side of your DSP and overlap and glue.
Now you are ready to decorate your Box in a Bag. I cut a piece of "Whisper White" cardstock to match the box. The size I used was 2" x 8.5". I used the "Eyelet Border Punch" on one of the long sides of my cardstock. I used TomBow glue to adhere it to my box:

We are now ready to add little handles to our bag. Using the "Tab Punch", punch two in "Whisper White":

Score in the center and fold over. Using a 1/4" hand punch, make two holes as shown in the picture. Open flat and apply Tombow glue to bottom curve:

Position on the front of your bag, glue into place on your DSP, punch a hole in the DSP where the brad will be inserted and add a brad to the bottom hole for bling. Do the same for the back of the bag:

Using "1/4" Grosgrain Ribbon", I glued a strip using "Glue Dots" of the "Pumpkin Pie" ribbon around the bottom decorative edge:

Using the "5-Petal Flower Punch", cut 4. Overlap two together and pierce a hole in the center:

Add a brad and fold the top layer forward to give the flower a 3-D look:

Apply a "Stampin' Dimensional" to each flower:

Apply to front of bag. Fill as desired and add a ribbon through the holes in the handles and tie into a bow!

Isn't this just the cutest project? I would love to see what you can come up with. Challenge yourself!
