This is a new technique I found while browsing our Stampin' Up! Connection website gallery. I followed the instructions posted by Julie Davison and created this card:

Don't you just love the watercolor effect of this technique? I think it's so creative and beautiful. Read the directions below on how to achieve this look.


Using cardstock or watercolor paper, stamp your image with Classic ink or Stampin' Write Markers. Using a spray mist bottle, wet your image. The ink will slowly start to flow and bleed. The ink also turns a lighter color with the saturation. Allow cardstock to dry completely. Stamp once again over the previous “watercolored” image. You might want to use your Stamp-A-Ma-Jig for perfect placement of image. I also used Gold Smooch Spritz once my images were stamped.
