I mass-produced my Day 11 project for today's 12 Days of Christmas Treat Holders. I've been holding a monthly Techniques Class and December is our last month so as a Thank you I made each of my 14 girls this cute little treat holder:
Stampin' Up! sells these 1" x 8" Cello Bags at a measly $2.50 for a 50 count. It can't get cheaper than that. I've filled these with various candies in the past such as M & M's, candy corn, peppermint sticks and the list goes on and on. Do you like the Santa hat at the top? I'm not sure who to thank for this idea as I've seen this punch art lots and lots of times and I don't know where it originated from but how clever!
Here is what you will need:
I did have to dig out my retired Small Oval Punch for this project. If you don't have one, you may be able to cut a slit in the Silver Glimmer Paper. You'll see why in a minute.
- (2) Whisper White Cardstock pieces cut with the Decorative Label Punch. Stamp "To & From" from the Very Merry Tags Stamp Set using StazOn Jet Black Ink on one of the cardstock pieces
- (1) Whisper White Cardstock cut with the Scallop Oval Punch
- (1) Silver Glimmer Paper cut with the Small Oval Punch first and then use the hole to cut again with the Scallop Oval Punch
- (1) Silver Glimmer Paper cut with the flower in the Punch Pack (pom-pom)
- (1) Real Red Cardstock cut with the Wide Oval Punch. Use the Word Punch to cut into the oval shape as shown above:
Turn the Silver Glimmer scallop oval shape upside-down and place the "hat" in the hole as shown above. Add Tombow Multipurpose Glue as shown.
Press the Whisper White scallop oval on top of the glue.
Turn hat over and glue the pom-pom to the end of the hat.
Using the 2 Decorative Label Punch shapes, staple the cello bag in-between the labels. Add liquid glue to the top left-hand corner as shown.
Press the Santa hat in place on the label to hide the staple. This completes your goodie holder!
I mass-produced 14 of these!
