Up today is another quite simple treat holder:
This treat holder is formed by using one piece of cardstock, scoring, folding and adding a piece of ribbon at the top to keep the goodie bag inside intact. Here are the steps:
Step 1:
Using a Basic Gray Cardstock piece measuring 4" x 11", score at 1/2", 4 3/4", 6 1/4" and 10 1/2".
Step 2:
Using a pencil and a ruler, add tick marks to the score lines in the center 1/2" from the edge. Follow that by taking a ruler and drawing a line from each corner to each 1/2" tick mark. For the area in the center, draw 2 straight lines from tick mark to tick mark. This is what your drawn lines should look like:
Step 3:
Using your Paper Snips, cut each side on the pencil lines to remove as shown:
Step 4:
Fold on all score lines:
When you cardstock piece is placed on it's side, this is how your score lines should be folded.
Step 5:
Stamp the snowflake images from Snowflake Soiree using Basic Gray Ink.
Step 6:
Stamp the Christmas Star using VersaMark Ink on Shimmery White Cardstock and sprinkle with Melon Mambo Embossing Powder. Set with your Heat Tool. Hand-cut the star by leaving some white along the edges. Fold your star on the lines as shown above.
Step 7:
Flip the star over and add Stampin' Dimensionals to each leg, about 1/2" from the ends.
Step 8:
Glue a circle cut with Silver Glimmer Paper cut and the 2 1/2" Circle Punch, to the front of your treat holder. Glue the star to the front over the glimmer paper.
Step 9:
Stamp the sentiment from Sweets for the Sweet Stamp Set on Shimmery White Cardstock using Basic Gray Ink. Cut out using the 7/8" Scallop Circle Punch and layer over the star using Stampin' Dimensionals. Add some Rhinestone Jewels to the center of the snowflakes and to the background to resemble teardrops.
Step 10:
Punch holes to the top pieces of your treat holder using a hand-held punch. Thread a piece of ribbon through the holes making sure the ends are facing the back and add a double-knot to each ribbon ends. Loosen the ribbon by sliding the front of your box and add the goodie bag inside (cello bag). Tighten the ribbon by pushing the front cardstock piece towards the back:
Thanks so much for joining me for the past 12 days. I have a few more Christmas items to show you in the next few days and then I'll be jumping over to some "Sneak Peeks" of the new "Occasions Catalog" that will debut on January 3rd!
