Today's card contains a lot of elements. I usually try to stick to the "unbusy" with my cards. I always love the red & black combinations. Something about those 2 colors seems to bring out the fancy!

Card Supplies:
  • Cardstock: Cherry Cobbler, Basic Black, Whisper White
  • DSP: Newsprint
  • Punches: Curly Label Punch, Scallop Circle Punch, Bird Punch
  • Tools: Big Shot, Movers & Shapers, Oval Die, Sponge Daubers
  • Accessories: Smooch Spritz in Silver, Flower Brads, Raven Lace
  • Inks: Cherry Cobbler, Basic Black

How to create the paper flower: Punch out 4 Scallop Circle out of the Newsprint DSP. Sponge all the edges using your Sponge Dauber and Cherry Cobbler ink. Scrunch up each scallop circle into a tight ball (the type of ball you used to scrunch up in high school to spit through a straw!). Now, unscrunch the balls, layer on top of each other, pierce a hole and use a brad to assemble the layers together. Fluff up your layers until you are satisfied with the look!

Notice the layering on the Curly Label Punch? I created that with the Movers & Shapers Die.

Add a small touch of vintage to the card by spraying it with Smooch Spritz. I added just a tad bit of it to the Oval image and the Curly Label image before I adhered them both to the card.

Thanks for visiting me again today! Have a great day!
