Create with Connie & Mary has an inspiration challenge this week. Don't you just love the photo of this beautiful cake. With this being an inspiration challenge use the picture to help get your inspiration started. You might pick the colors, or the shape or some design elements. This is the card I created from the inspiration photo above:

I thought the little cake was so cute that I wanted to replicate it somewhat. I cut out two square pieces of "Whisper White cardstock" and used my "Corner Rounder" on the corners. I then used my "Big Shot" and "Texturz Plates" to give it the diamond pattern. Instead of dots I added "Pearl Jewels". You can't tell from the photos but I also used "Smooch Spritz in Vanilla" on the whole card and it looks so rich!

  • Tools: Big Shot, Vintage Wallpaper Impressions Folder, Texturz Plates, Oval Die, Corner Rounder Punch, Word Window Punch
  • Accessories: 1/8" Taffeta Ribbon in Marina Mist, Pearl Jewels
  • Inks: Riding Hood Red Ink
  • Stamp Set: Teeny Tiny Wishes
