Two colors that coordinate wonderfully that you can't go wrong with are red and black. Isn't this card elegant? You can't go wrong with butterflies either. Out of all of my stamp sets and dies, I think butterflies are my favorite.

Have you started a wish list for the items in the Holiday Mini yet? This card comes completed with a few of those items and more.......
  • Notice the "Raven 1/2" Lace Trim? Embellish a project with this fun and feminine trim. Item #120988 in the Holiday Mini Catalog.
  • Take a peek at the "Rinestone Jewel Accents". It's so easy to add a touch of class to any project. Item #119246.
  • Add a quick label to your card front by using the "Tags til Christmas" stamp set. Even though the stamp I used had a Christmas greeting already included in the stamp, I quickly stamped a birthday greeting on another piece of cardstock, punched it out with my "Large Oval Punch" and layered it on top of the Christmas greeting to transform it into a birthday card!
  • What about the "Decorative Label Punch" to cut out your greeting? This is a new punch also found in the Holiday Mini Catalog. Item #120907.

Notice the embossing on the butterfly? I used the "Square Lattice Impressions Folder" and used the reverse side of the embossing. Did you know this folder has two sides of the embossed cardstock you can use? The butterfly layers were cut with the "Big Shot" and the "Bigz Beautiful Butterflies Die". I tied both cardstock layers together using the "Raven Lace Trim" to give the butterfly a body!

The background was stamped with the "Sanded" background stamp on "Very Vanilla" cardstock. The bottom of this layer was punched using the "Scallop Edge Border Punch". The other two colors used were "Basic Black" and "Real Red".
