You know what? I haven't seen one bat this summer so far (not that I am disappointed!). The only bats I love are the ones we use for decorating for Halloween. The paper ones!

I also love turning something plain into something out of the ordinary. I looked at my "Mini Milk Carton Die" and said "there's got to be something Halloween-y I can make with this". Then I thought "what about a bat-house?".

I've never seen a bat-house in my life so I went on the internet and looked them up. Did you know they can hold up to 100 bats! And that they have a little slot on the bottom of the house for them to creep up in? Well this is my version of a bat house.

Stampin' Up!'s little "Bat Punch" is so cute! The possibilities are endless! After I punched out a few bats, I ran them through my "Big Shot" with the "Perfect Polka Dots Impressions Folder".

The roof is created by cutting small rectangular pieces and using the "Scallop Border Punch" on one edge. I then stacked them on top of each other to mimic a real roof. Don't you love the "Mini Library Clip" I used on the top? Instead of gluing the top shut, the library clip serves as a clasp to hold the container closed so you can stuff the carton with candies.
The sentiment is from "Teeny Tiny Wishes". This stamp set is the most versatile of all the sentiment sets as far as using them with punches. Even the smallest punch the "Word Window Punch", as shown here, is adaptable to the small wording.
