I edited the name of the stamp set for my post title for today. The stamp set I used is called "Fox & Friends" but since I didn't use any foxes in my card........

WARNING: this card requires lots of hand-cutting...if you are afraid to spend some quality time with your cardstock and paper snips...........this is not for you!! LOL

I've wanted to try this card for quite some time now and I finally sat down and played today. I started out by stamping my cute little tree from "Season of Friendship" Item #111776. I used "Soft Suede Ink". Then the fun begins....stamp 2 monkeys from the stamp set "Fox & Friends" Item # 117020 Wood Mount and #118565 Clear Mount. I used 2 different inks, "Sahara Sand", "Early Espresso". Hand snip each monkey. Glue each monkey to your tree. I have one hanging from its' tail and the other standing on a branch. Using the flower image and the leaf image, add both images to your tree. I stamped the flower to match my background layer in "Poppy Parade" and the leaf in "Old Olive".

For the third monkey, I used the "Masking Technique". Stamp a separate image of the tree trunk. Cut it out and layer over your first tree. Hold in place and stamp your third monkey over the tree mask. Remove mask and there sits your monkey, behind the tree trunk. Easy huh? I used "Chocolate Chip" ink for this monkey.

I also stamped the leaf image on white cardstock a few times and cut that out, add a "Stampin' Dimensional" and layer over your tree here and there. Add brads to your flowers and a strip of "1/8" Taffeta Ribbon". The background layer was embossed using the "Square Lattice Impressions Folder" and my "Big Shot".

The sentiment is from "On Your Birthday" stamp set and cut out with my "Small Oval Punch" layered over the "Large Oval Punch" with "Stampin' Dimensionals". See how layering white over white looks great when popped up with "Stampin' Dimensionals". I felt that I had just the right amount of color in my card and opted for white on white to blend in smoothly with the rest of my card.
