Today I would like to blog about the "BIG SHOT". If you don't own one of these yet, YOU NEED ONE! I never knew what I was missing until I purchased one for myself. I have an almost new "other" cutting machine that I paid 3 times the price for.......and it sits in my stamp room un-used! The "BIG SHOT" has taken over!!

With the "BIG SHOT" machine, you can create die cuts with any of our exclusive Stampin’ Up! dies—or any Sizzix die. The Big Shot machine comes with Standard Cutting Pads and a multipurpose platform so you can start cutting immediately. From crafting to quilting and everything in between, the Big Shot is a big deal!

Notice the "Perfect Polka Dots" background. I created this with an impressions folder. All you do is tuck your cardstock inside the folder, roll it through your "BIG SHOT" and now you have created texture. That simple. I even added an extra step.......I inked up my "Brayer" in "Craft White Ink" and rolled the ink on the raised polka dots. When you run your cardstock through, the ink gets impressed on your cardstock along with the dots......clever huh?

Other Supplies Used:

To create the 2 owls, I first stamped two on "Whisper White Cardstock" with "Early Espresso Classic Ink". I then followed that by stamping one of each owl with "Pumpkin Pie Classic Ink" and "Daffodil Delight Classic Ink". I used my "Small Heart Punch" to cut-out the heart shape and layered over the 2 owls that were stamped in "Early Espresso".
