Making a card that has a reflection tutorial. For this card and tutorial the supplies I used are:

  • Lovely As A Tree Stamp Set
  • Bashful Blue, Certainly Celery and Chocolate Chip Ink
  • Top Note Die in Whisper White Cardstock
  • Bashful Blue Grosgrain Ribbon
  • Brads
  • Signo Gel Pen, White
  • Perfect Polka Dots Impressions Folder
  • Acetate sheet
  • Chocolate Chip, Certainly Celery, Whisper White cardstock

Step 1: I started out with a Top Note die cut with Whisper White cardstock. I used Bashful Blue ink to create clouds and water. I added a little bit of Certainly Celery for background grass/trees.

Step 2: Stamp one of the trees from Lovely As A Tree Stamp set in Chocolate Chip ink.

Step 3: Using a clear acetate sheet, stamp the same image on your sheet.

Step 4: Flip the sheet over and gently place in the opposite direction of the first tree you stamped, so as to create a reflection.

Step 5: Using your finger, rub the acetate sheet so that the ink will transfer from the sheet to the cardstock.

Step 6: Remove acetate sheet and voila!.......you have a reflection!

Step 7: I used my Signo Gel Pen in white to create small water lines on the bottom of the Top Note for the reflection. Click on the picture to enlarge detail.

Step 8: Complete your card by adding brads, ribbon and a strip of Certainly Celery cardstock that I embossed with Perfect Polka Dots Impressions Folder. Add sentiment of your choice.

Now wasn't that easy? March over to your stamp room and try it out for yourself!
