Today I thought I would show you the versatility of a die I just purchased. You use this die with the Big Shot machine. If you don't have a Big Shot machine...YOU DON'T KNOW WHAT YOU ARE MISSING!!! Notice how the die looks like an envelope and is made to use like an envelope: My first creation is indeed, an envelope. Easy to make.......just fold along the score lines and glue the 3 sides together.......ready to go.

My second creation uses (2) of the scallop envelopes. Again, fold on the score lines for both pieces but his time, glue the sides to each other by overlapping them and glue to form a box. You will need to cut the bottom flaps to the same width as the side flaps. Once I had mine all glued, I added a strip of DSP around all four sides and decorated the front. I folded the front flap down and glued to the box and left the back flap up for design purposes. This can be used to store 3 x 3 cards, candies, embellishments....the list goes on.


This is a view from above so you can see how thick the box is.


Now lets move on to using (3) scallop envelopes...same idea, but this time, before glueing the sides together, you will need to snip off one side flap on each piece, overlap and glue. Again, the bottom flaps need to be trimmed to the same width as the side pieces....


Once your side pieces are glued and you have your triangle box, trace the box bottom on cardstock and cut out a triangular piece. Glue to the bottom of your box. Decorate as you like. You can add a cello bag of goodies and tie it off with a ribbon. Again, I glued the flaps down to the fronts of the box.


My fourth and final creation is using (4) scallop envelopes. Again, trim off one side flap of each scallop piece and glue together to form a four-sided box. No need to cut the bottom flap on this one. All four pieces fit well together to form the bottom. Decorate as needed.
