The Pals have the blues. The monochromatic blues, that is!! Welcome to the Pals Paper Arts first Monochromatic Challenge. They have chosen to highlight blue for this week's challenge, and whether it's baby blue, midnight blue, or anywhere in between, they are looking forward to seeing what your creativity will bring.
This is my submission for this week:
I tried to change the lighting in the next two pictures to try to capture the glitter in my card. I used 2 items for shimmer & shine.
First I sprayed "Smooch Spritz" in Vanilla on the "Whisper White" cardstock and then I used "Champagne Mist Shimmer Paint" on my hummingbird. I mixed 3 drops of champagne mist with three drops of re-inker from the "Not Quite Navy" color. I then used my "Sponge Dauber" to sponge the ink onto my hummingbird. If you click on the picture to enlarge it, you might be able to see the shine!
Another "tip" that I used for my card is for the "Not Quite Navy" background layer. Notice the embossing? I used the new "Square Lattice Impressions Folder" that will be available on Saturday from the "Summer Mini Catalog". I brayered some "Craft Whisper White Ink" right onto one side of the impressions folder and then inserted my cardstock and ran it through the BigShot. Look how the white ink is embossed into the texture!Card Supplies:
