Good morning stampers. Today I have a Stampin' Up! product to show and I also have a versatile project I made with this product. Below you will notice our "Envelope Liners Framelits Dies". These dies are made to create custom liners for 3 different sized envelope to use with our "Big Shot Machine":

The one I am showing you is the middle framelit that fits nicely in our medium sized envelopes:

Just slide it in and it fits perfectly and what a nice way to present a card inside a lined envelope!

But wait, that's not all you can do with these! How about a gift card holder?

And I even made a slide out for the holder and I'll show you how. Keep reading!

First you will need to cut 2 pieces of designer paper using the middle-sized framelit:

Once you decide which pattern you want to use for the front, fold down the flap by first scoring, folding and gluing:

Turn your DSP over to the wrong side and add 3 strips of Sticky Strip. You will be leaving the side that has the folded flap with no Sticky Strip:

Remove backing from Sticky Strip and glue to your 2nd piece of DSP:

Decorate the front as you like. I used Cherry Cobbler Seam Binding Ribbon and secured it about an inch from the bottom. The stamp I used is from the Single Stamps called "A Gift For You", Item #134765 for $4.95. I ink it using Gumball Green Ink and cut it out using the Label Bracket Punch and used Stampin' Dimensionals to glue it in place. I also add a small strip of Silver Glimmer Paper with a scalloped edge using the Scallop Border Punch. I glued it in place at the top of my folded-over flap with Sticky Strip.

Now here is how to create the insert:

Using a piece of cardstock that is cut 4 1/4" wide. I used an 8 1/2" x 11" sheet of cardstock and cut it in half the long way. Insert the cardstock as shown in the photo so that you will be cutting the flap part only and cut. Once the flap is cut, measuring from the flap, cut your cardstock piece 4" long so your cardstock piece will measuring 4 1/4" x 4".

Using the smallest Envelope Liner Framelit Die, place it as shown in the photo so it sits in from the side 1". Use your Exacto Knife to trace & cut about 1/4" from the edge. Repeat on both sides and your insert should look like the photo below:

You will make a 3rd cut at the very bottom of your insert by placing the framelit in place as shown in the photo above. Your gift card should fit as shown below:

Now for the little "handle" for your insert. Cut one using designer paper and the Label Bracket Punch. Score and fold in half:

Secure at the top of your insert by using a Glimmer Brad:

You can decorate your insert by stamping on it if you want also or adding a sentiment. Once the insert is completed, slide it into your gift card holder:

Pretty neat huh? And how wonderful to be able to use an item that is intended for envelope liners and turning it into something else! You really get your money's worth!
