Today for my "Tuesday Tips or Techniques" I am going to show you how to assemble the Rosette's that are now included in some of our kits from the "2013 Stampin' Up! Holiday Catalog". Of course you can also make your very own rosette's and follow these steps to assemble them also.

This is what one of the completed rosette's look like from the "Christmas Banner Simply Created Kit":

The designer paper strips are all scored for you so all you have to do is fold on the score lines to resemble an accordian and glue the ends together to from a circle. You can also make your own rosette's by using strips of designer paper and doing the same:

Using a "Silicone Mat" add some glue to the center using a hot glue gun. I used enough to equal about the size of a quarter:

Bring your assembled rosette over to your mat and push down on it from the top, pushing towards the center so that it lays flat. Push in the edges so that the center hole is as small and tight as you can get it. Hold in place for a few minutes to allow the glue to cool down and hold the rosette intact:

Peel the rosette away from the mat and when you flip it over, this is what your rosette should look like:

Decorate and complete your rosette:

I hope this helps you as these kits are a blast to create. Here are some of the banners I've made so far with these new kits:
