My Paper Pumpkin for July arrived at my doorstep.....well, sort of. I have a little story for this month's kit. Dave and I had to travel 4 hours away from home for 3 days for recertification for our business. So, in the meantime, My Paper Pumpkin arrived while I was away as you see in the photo below:

My Mr. *insert nice word here* mailman, left it inside of my mail box as usual, which sits at the end of our driveway. We live out in the country so I was not worried about vandalism. What really pissed me off is that he stuffed 3 days worth of mail and left the door to the mail box WIDE OPEN! Not because the door wouldn't shut, just because! And guess which part of our abundance of mail was at the very opening of our mailbox? Mr. *Insert another nice word here* mailman has no common sense at times. So to make my story a little short, it rained here for 2 days while we were gone so my box was soaked. You can see how wet my box was by peeking below at one corner of my box that was falling apart:

I am proof that this box is exceptionally well packaged when delivered to your door. All of our items are plastic wrapped and the inks are all sealed:

Phew, everything was okay and I calmed myself down. Thank you Mr. Mailman for the delivery anyway.

And the pennants are all made so you can adhere them with a front and a back so they are double-sided. How cute is that! I was so excited. Now you know me, I try to show my girls how to stretch the supplies in their boxes and that is what I've done again this month. Here are my completed projects:

I decided to add the banner and the pennants to one set of skewer's. It's not double-sided but what does it matter? When you present the cake, face the front of the cake to the receiver and when you want to take photo's, turn the cake around to face the camera! So what did I do with the remaining supplies?

I made a matching card!

I used Island Indigo, Summer Starfruit and Pool Party Cardstock. The card fits in a #10 envelope. If you would like to replicate my card, here are the layers:

Island Indigo: 9" x 7 1/2", score in the center at 3 3/4" on the 7 1/2" side
Pool Party: 7 3/4" x 3 1/2"
Summer Starfruit:7 1/2" x 3 1/4"

I did have to trim the 2 shorter skewers a bit to fit the size of the card. All pennants and lettering are glued in place using Stampin' Dimensionals and so is the banner. This card was quick and easy to create!
