Today's Pals Paper Arts challenge is a sketch! I love sketches, especially the ones from the talented Margaret Moody. Here is Margaret's sketch for this week:

My Card. The first photo is a close-up. I used Shimmer Paints on the Marina Mist flower and also on the embossing. I hope you can see it because it is so shimmery!

I knew I wanted to use my new DSP Elegant Soiree and I knew I wanted to coordinate the Elegant Lines Impressions Folder. My husband always teases me about my obsession with "matching" things. I'm 100% french and I think us frenchman are all little anal about that! I always make sure he "matches" before we go out....you know men, they just grab whatever is closest to them and throw it on (especially red and green......I tell him to "take it off, you look like a Christmas tree!").

Card Elements:
  • Layer #1: Early Espresso
  • Layer #2: Elegant Soiree Designer Series Paper, Eyelet Border Punch for one edge.
  • Layer #3: Early Espresso, Corner Rounder Punch
  • Layer #4: Very Vanilla cardstock, Elegant Lines Impressions Folder, Awash with Flowers Stamp Set, Pearl Jewels, Shimmer Paint (TIP: I used a blender pen to paint to get into the little embossed spaces), Inks: Marina Mist, Sahara Sand, Early Espresso, Soft Suede, Corner Rounder Punch
  • Dotted Scallop Ribbon Border Punch for "Ribbon". I used Sahara Sand and Early Espresso to outline the edges. I also added Pearl Jewels
  • Sentiment: A Word for You stamp set, Cardstock: Very Vanilla, Marina Mist, Early Espresso, Punches: Small Oval Punch, Large Oval Punch, Scallop Oval Punch

Enjoy your day!
