Sometimes some of the most beautiful stamp sets are the ones that you can purchase as an individual stamp. This stamp is going to be available in the "a la CARTE" section of the Holiday Mini. The stamp is called "Midnight Raven". Isn't it just wonderful? And it's under $10. You can also find other "a la CARTE" stamps in the Idea Book & Catalog on pages 18-20.

Notice the background on the "Basic Black" cardstock piece? This is a new Textured Impressions Embossing Folder called "Spider Web". Imagine adding a detailed, scary spider web on your card or scrapbook page!

Now let's move on to the stamped image. I used a "Top Note" die and my "Big Shot" and once cut, I snipped it in half. I then stamped my "Midnight Raven" in "Basic Black" ink. I then used my "1 3/4 inch Circle Punch" and cut out a circle. I placed my circle over my stamped image as a mask. I then used my "Sponge Daubers" and the inks "Pumpkin Pie" and "Daffodil Delight" and sponged them around my circle mask. Remove mask and you have an instant moon in the background!


For added color, I used a strip of "Pumpkin Pie" cardstock and the "Scallop Trim Border Punch" to one edge. I added the "Perfect Polka Dots Impressions Folder" for embossing. I then layered a small snippet of "Daffodil Delight" and tied a "1/8" Taffeta Ribbon in Basic Black". What a fun stamp this is to use! Available September 1st.
