Here is a closer look at the "cracked glass":
- Clear Embossing Powder
- VersaMark Ink Pad
- Heat Tool
- Sponge or Sponge Dauber
- Classic Ink
Here are the steps I took to achieve this look:
- Stamp images on cardstock. I used the flowers from "Fast & Fabulous" (Hostess set) and inked them in "Early Espresso Ink". I then used the 2 step and added color to my flowers by inking the stamp in "Soft Suede" and "Pretty In Pink" inks. I stamped on "Very Vanilla" cardstock.
- Using your "VersaMark" ink pad, turn it upside down and wet the whole piece of cardstock.
- Sprinkle "Clear Embossing Powder" over the inked cardstock piece. Shake off excess.
- Heat with your "Heat Tool" until the powder melts.
- Allow to cool for about one minute.
- Repeat steps 2-5, 4 more times.
- Place cardstock piece in the freezer for about 3 minutes.
- Remove from freezer and gently bend cardstock to make it crack. If more cracks are desired, place in freezer again and repeat.
- Using a "Sponge Dauber" and dark ink (I used Soft Suede), sponge ink over entire cardstock piece by swirling so that the ink is absorbed in the cracks.
- Wipe with a tissue.
You should start to notice the cracks appear in the cardstock piece as the ink is sponged on.
