PPA51-Wedding Theme Challenge
Pals Paper Arts love weddings!! There's something special and magical about a wedding that is inspirational. So whether your project has something old, something new, something borrowed, something blue, or is inspired by an invitation, bridal gown, or a bridesmaid gown (now THAT could be fun!!) Pals Paper Arts is looking forward to seeing what you have to share. The line for wedding cake forms to the left!!

I had the priviledge of attending a "Celebration of Love" this past weekend for Jason and Amy. Jason's mom Rita, was my best friend from our high school days. Even though we live 1.5 hours away from each other, we still manage to get together once in awhile. We were long overdue! Jason has been in the military since he graduated from high school and the wedding ceremony took place in another state, where his wife is from. I can't for the life of me remember where Rita told me, Alabama maybe? Jason will be leaving for Afganistan soon for his 3rd tour.

Anyway, here is the card and goodie bag I made for the big party......

First the card:

I made my own oval stencil using the "Big Shot" and my "Oval Die". Using the part with the hole, I used a "Sponge Dauber" and "Basic Gray" ink and inked the edges of the stencil. I then stamped the wedding cake with a stamp from the "Blissful Bride" stamp set. With all the excitement of the new catalog coming out July 1st, one might tend to forget that we also have the "Summer Mini" going on until August 31st. This stamp set is available in the "Summer Mini", item #118527 Wood Mount and item #120036 Clear Mount.

For the remainder of the card, I used stamps from the "Vintage Vogue" stamp set. Item #117690 Wood Mount and #118598 Clear Mount. I stamped the flowers with "Marina Mist" and "Night of Navy" inks. Some I stamped on the edge of the "Whisper White" layers, the others I carefully hand-cut with my "Paper Snips". Adhere with "Stampin' Dimensionals" for the 3D effect. I also used the "5-Petal Punch" for the leaves. Take the 5 petals and separate them all by snipping individual leaves. The center of each flower is "blinged" with "Clear Rhinestone Brads".

Background layer is "Basic Gray" cardstock, followed by "Marina Mist" cardstock.

I included a little "goodie bag" with the card, filled with "Hershey's Mini Reece's". Who can resist chocolate?

The front of the goodie bag was created to match the card. The sentiment is from the "Occasional Quotes" stamp set and is a Level 3 Hostess set that can be earned by hosting a workshop.
