PPA49-Fourth of July Inspiration
Welcome to Pals Paper Arts challenge. PPA hopes we will be inspired by this week's photo. As we take time to celebrate our nation's birth, please take a moment to remember those who have made this possible. Below is our inspiration photo for the challenge:

I am a day late for this challenge......I was stumped, yes...stumped. I have no "4th of July" stamps! I knew I had some retired things I could use so that is what I ended up having to use on this card. The only element I had for supplies that I could use that even remotely resembles fireworks is the "Sparkle Sizzlits Die" that retired only 2 days ago.

I started out with my background layer in Whisper White and used the Corner Rounder on the two bottom corners of my card.

Using "Cherry Cobbler", "Marina Mist" & "Whisper White".....I cut 2 pieces of each color in 1" strips. For the "Whisper White", I ran the strips through my "Big Shot" using the "Perfect Polka Dots Impressions Folder". The "Marina Mist" cardstock was stamped with "Whisper White" ink with a retired stamp set called "Starring You" that also retired two days ago. I left the "Cherry Cobbler" strips plain.

Once my strips were ready to be glued, I used a 4.25 x 5.5 piece of "Whisper White" and glued all the strips side by side on my cardstock piece. I then positioned my "Top Note Die" in the center and cut out the shape with my "Big Shot".

Here is where I really had to get creative. I did not have a stamp sentiment for the 4th either. I found a cute Happy Birthday sentiment, used my black "Stampin' Write Marker" and colored in the word "Happy" and stamped it. I cut it out using the "Word Window Punch". I then used the "Schoolbook Serif Numbers" stamp set, Item #111680, for the number "4" and added the "th" by coloring the "th" from the word birthday and stamped that right beside the number "4". I hand cut the stamped image.

I completed my card by adding a little bling to mimic the brightness of fireworks. The "Clear Rhinestone Brads" completed my card perfectly. Item #113144.

I hope you like my card and I hope you have a very good 4th of July weekend! As I've stated in prior posts, my parents are celebrating their 50th Anniversary on July 4th so I am extremely busy with preparations. I will have a post on the celebration as soon as it has gone by!!
