As Pals Paper Arts present this week's Memorial Day-themed challenge, they would like to say thank you to all of those who are serving or who have served our country. We are most thankful for your courage, honor, and sacrifice.
My husband Dave, served 22 years in the Army National Guard. Though he was never activated for duty, he was still dedicated in serving our country for all those years. He enjoyed his time with the National Guard and has many stories to tell!
This is the picture that we were to draw our inspiration from:
I decided to stick with the wreath theme:
I used one of the stamps in the "Pocket Silhouettes" stamp set. I punched out a 1" circle with my punch and layed it in the middle of the card. I then inked up my stamp with "Certainly Celery" ink and made my way around the circle, alternating with the inked image and then stamping again uninked. This created the light and dark ink variations. I removed the circle punch to reveal a perfect circle of white space in the center of the wreath.

Cardstock colors are "Real Red", "Night of Navy" and "Whisper White".
