Using my Big Shot and the "Top Note" die, I first cut out a layer in "Soft Suede". I then cut a piece of the new "Presto Designer Series Paper" in a size of 4.25" x 5.5". Do you notice the design in this layer? The design is already pre-embossed for you. I used a sponge dabbed in the "Soft Suede" ink pad and swirled it over the embossed images. How cool is that? Once I completed my shading, I ran this piece of paper with the "Top Note" die also. You will notice that once this is cut, the "Top Note" die shape has a stitching line all the way around the edge of the shape. I used my "Paper Snippers" to cut away the little edging, sponged the edges and then I was able to layer this over the first die cut shape.
I stamped the little hummingbird on a separate piece of cardstock and carefully cut him out. Using a "Stampin' Dimensional" I popped him to the left of my layers, added ribbon, and finally added the sentiment that was stamped and cut out with the "Designer Label Punch" and sponged. Add a brad for a little bling.

Notice the little itty bitty button? This is a clear button that comes in a set of 4 designs. These clear mini buttons coordinate with both the Itty Bitty Bits stamp set and the shapes in our Itty Bitty Shapes punch pack. They are all adorable.
The third and final card was a card the girls all had a chance in creating. In the Stampin' Up! world, it is called a "Make-n-Take".
Don't you just love the look of "Toile" in this card?
The background layer is "Not Quite Navy". In the next layer we used the "Scallop Border Punch" on the bottom and then followed that with the "Elements of Style Stamp" set inked in "Not Quite Navy" ink. Once this layer was inked, we used the "Square Lattice Impressions Folder" also sold in the "Summer Mini Catalog". Add 2 small strips of "Not Quite Navy" to the bottom portion of your layer. To create the little flower, punch 3 from the "5-Petal Flower Punch". Sponge the edges with "White Craft Ink". Spray each flower with the new "Smooch Spritz" in vanilla. Layer all 3 flowers on top of each other and using your "Mat Pack" & "Paper Piercer", punch a hole in the center of all 3 layers. Add a brad. Fluff up the first layer to give it depth and height. Using "Mini Glue Dots", adhere the flower to the card. Cut out your sentiment with the "Large Oval Punch" layered over "Not Quite Navy" punched with the "Scallop Oval Punch". Glue to your card and you are done!!

Notice the "Smooch Spritz" on the flower below:

...and the texture of the "Square Lattice Impressions Folder". I forgot to mention above that I also ran the sentiment layer through the BigShot with the same impressions folder. Some of the girls chose not to emboss this layer but rather, kept it as a flat cardstock piece. Both versions were beautiful!
Thank you to Ann Schach for the inspiration on this card!
Because my camera is on strike this week, I do not have the hostess gifts I presented Emily. The pictures are stuck on my memory card and my new camera is ariving on Tuesday so I am hoping I can transfer the memory card to my new camera to load my pictures. I'll have that in another blog to show you.
