The card I am showing you today made me saw "WOW" when it was complete. I was blog surfing a few nights ago and came across the most beautiful vintage card I have ever seen. I bookmarked it for later.........the card is from Sandi MacIver's blog. She does beautiful work and of course she is also a Stampin' Up! demonstrator! I liked her card so much that I didn't change any of the colors or much else other than a little less ribbon on mine. Thank you Sandi!

I almost copied it exactly except she had more ribbon in hers. This card was so much fun to work on. It's amazing how you can start out with a blank piece of paper and just keep adding to it with the ending result a "WOW".
Supplies & Steps to complete this card:
  • Using the "Two Tags Die" and your "Big Shot", cut two tags, one with "Always Artichoke" and one with "Very Vanilla" cardstock.
  • Follow the score lines on the "Very Vanilla" and cut.
  • Score & Fold the "Always Artichoke" layer for your background card.
  • On the second layer, using "Very Vanilla", tear a few spots on the edges of your layer. Sponge using "Chocolate Chip" ink on all edges and do the same for the tag.
  • Layer your "Very Vanilla" layer over "Perfect Plum" (you can use any cardstock color for this layer).
  • Ink up your "En Francais" background stamp with "Chocolate Chip" ink and stamp on the the front. I also stamped a small part of this background stamp on the tag.
  • Now stamp the flower image from the "Elements of Style" stamp set on both pieces, here and there in the corners.
  • Add the next stamp image that has swirls in it, inked with "Always Artichoke" ink to both pieces.
  • Using the ink pads "Always Artichoke" and "Perfect Plum", squeeze the middle of the ink pad cover before you open the ink pad so that when you open and slide the cover, ink is laying on the inside cover. You can feel your ink pad cover come in contact with the actual ink pad when you do this. Now open your ink pad cover but leave the lid flat, do not flip into place. Notice the ink that pooled inside your lid? You will be dipping your "Blender Pen" in this ink to color your flowers and leaves.
  • Using a sponge, sponge "Chocolate Chip" ink over everything you just stamped to give it the vintage-y look. Adding more ink in some spots to create darker areas.
  • Finish off your card by adding a sentiment punched with the "Modern Label Punch" layered over the "Large Oval Punch. All pieces were sponged. Add a single brad to the sentiment layer.
  • Add a "1/2" Circle Punch" in "Perfect Plum" that has been sponged onto the tag and insert a "Brad". Complete with ribbon and attach to card front.
