My grand-daughter turns 2 today! Happy Birthday Kaitlynn!! I can remember driving her mom to the hospital 2 years ago, worst snowstorm of the year. We had to drive an hour to the hospital. What a trip that was! We made it though and she was born 9 hours later. She came home on Easter Sunday. This year, the snow is practically gone and spring is here. What a drastic change in the weather from two years ago.
Here are a few pictures from her birthday party:
This is the card I made her. The theme for her birthday was cupcakes:
I used the cupcake image from "Out of the Box". The DSP is from "Pawsitively Prints". The cardstock colors I used are: Pretty In Pink, Certainly Celery, So Saffron, Lovely Lilac & Pink Passion. The birthday sentiment is from "On Your Birthday" stamp set. Punches used were: 1 1/4" Square Punch, 1 3/8" Square Punch, Corner Rounder, Modern Label, Large Oval and Fancy Flower.
Most of the kids in attendance were in the same age range so when I made the milk carton goodies, I made sure they were kid-friendly, no little parts for them to choke on. I wrapped and glued the top where the milk carton opens with a strip of cardstock so mom & dad could open them for the kids.
I made 16 of these total and I used the same color cardstock as the card.
These are the picks I made for inserting into the cupcakes.

I also made a banner with her name from the "Pennant Die". It turned out really cute and she can re-use it in her bedroom. Close-up view:

It's amazing what you can create for parties using Stampin' Up! products. I had a blast creating this little goodies. I am now in the process of working on other goodies for my parents 50th wedding anniversary which will take place on July 4th.

Happy Sunday everyone. I will try to finish up a card for a weekly Sunday challenge by later today.
